>Sofia’s Strawberry Shortcake Party

22 Dec

>

It’s hard to believe that my baby Sofia had turned 1! she is a sweet, calm little girl… with character! she is busy crawling all over the house… following big sister,  she is a very particular child…she studies everyone and everything, and after feeling comfortable… she’ll give you the sweetest smile!
Last year right after she was born…I went to a store closing sale, and found cute strawberry napkins, and plates at a really good price…and decided then to do her 1st birthday  theme a Strawberry/strawberry shorthcake.
So.. I went in that direction with lots of strawberries… and strawberry Shortcake…I also went with the colors red, pink and blue turquoise…I saw the combination somewhere, and loved it!
I hope you enjoy the pics as much as we enjoyed the party! it filled with great food, treat, games and really good friends!

This is the main table…with the cake and favors
as favors I had for the kids Strawberry Shortcake StixNpops (the new improved version), strawberry cookies, treat bags with craft supplies, a strawberry shortcake paper bag with strawberry gummies, and a pot with strawberry seed and supplies for each kid to plant their own strawberry plant at home.

Our New Strawberry Shortcake StixNpops!!! so cute! the kids loved them! and such a great statement on the table as decorations!
I wanted a simple, elegant cake with strawberries! so I did a cake to match the colors  of the party and some strawberries and roses details.. and in the top just strawberries and the big Number 1. It was a Strawberry Cake (of course) with a creamy strawberry mousse filling! so yummy!

On the dessert table I had for our guests a Chocolate Fountain with White chocolate (with pink candy coloring), fresh strawberries to enjoy with the chocolate, or by itself… our Petites StixNpops in red colored white chocolate with pink and blue dragees. and Strawberry cupcakes… with the same filling as the cake, and decorated with fondant and a single fondant strawberry!

we enjoyed a lot a yummy kids friendly food…. homemade Mac and cheese, Strawbeery jam meatballs, chicken nuggets, piggies in a blanket, spinach dip with chips,  and salads (strawberry and spinach, and a carrot salad my mom made… delish!)

I had plan lots of games for the kids to enjoy…the main attraction the puppet show… with my hubby as the puppeteer… he did an amazing job! we also had strawberry shortcake theme crafts, a strawberry shortcake pin the strawberry basket (a game a made up… similar to pin the tail to the donkey) and we also had a small jumping moonwalk, and a jumping balls pool!

My little Sofia…probably studying something…or someone!

My beautiful and happy mom with the Birthday girl!

My baby Sofia enjoying her very own cupcake….she was with such a sugar rush that stayed awake until 1 am… never again! : )

We are thankful  for her life, for her smiles, for her presence…we thank all our friends and family who made this party a success and a great memory in our lives!
